it’s been a while that i have not written any word in here…
it’s been a while that my mind just roamed around and thoughts are just kept inside….
it’s been a while that i stayed out deliberately from the net….
because
it’s been a while that i lost touch with nature and all along those times that i did not blog… i spent it just looking at the beautiful wild flowers along the way…its color (indigo) which lighted up my mood…additionally soothed my burned out feelings….
it’s been a while that i experienced it which i have realized….things taken for granted are usually great and awesome which you don’t need to pay…to labor..
they are just there waiting for our attention and appreciation..
it’s been a while that i have not realized it…and i feel awesome that even in the midst of my silence, i have experienced MIRACLEs of nature….

Bgy Dumolog, Roxas City, the source of the so-called best dried fish in the Philippines
March 21 was the busiest day for me and my family. Unexpectedly, we were forced to move house due to circumstances beyond control. From Lawaan, Roxas City, we moved to my parents’ house located at Bgy. Dumolog, Roxas City. This is the place where I spent many years from 1986 to 2001. I moved when i started to have a family of my own.
For many years where I seldom visit Dumulog, there are lots of changes that happened. changes that didn’t mean development but regression more particularly to the surroundings. When I was in Dumolog, there are places where you can see rows of “kapil” or wood plane where the fish are placed under the sun to be dried up. That time, it is already noted in the whole Capiz and even in Manila that Dumolog is producing the best dried fish. So, you can imagine the seaside full of rows made of bamboo woods for drying the fish or “tabagak”. This means enough source of income for the residents of Dumolog as well as gain for the local businessmen. It is also another evidence that Roxas City is really seafoods capital of the Philippines, where the fresh and dried fish are abound.

But the sad and really infuriating fact is these people doing this business are just insensible! From the seaside, they have gone to ricefields and roadside which in turn this dried fish and other container are really causing undesirable smell that really stink!
The even sadder thing is if you start clamoring against the foul odor, you will be accused as jealous or humbug.
At the moment, I’m trying to be passive or not paying attention to it, but if things get worst, I will do the right things that must be done long time ago!

The final examination for all college students of Filamer Christian College is almost finished! Though I bet that other teachers will be extending their final examination. (It’s always been the case). Lucky to those students who are done already because they do’nt have to agonize for the next few days of thinking what are the questions and answers for the postponed examination.
Personally, I have a very inspiring story/experience to tell. I am indeed proud of my public speaking students( English 202 2nd sem 2008-09) for having shown their best in their persuasive speeches presentation which was their final examination. As their teacher, it is indeed more satisfying to see them showing their effort and potential to being cool public speakers. read more…
