Congressman Tony Del Rosario’s Aide was laid on his rest, Reward money rises to P300,000.00
Roxas City – Arthur Cruz, one of the trusted man of Capiz First District Congressman was just laid in his final rest today, here in Roxas City. A mass was held in the Roxas City Cathedral at 2 o’clock in the afternoon which was attended by lots of people that included friends, officials and members from the Red Cross, co-staff from the office of the Congressman of the first district of Capiz, family members and prominent figures from the city and province.
Meanwhile, the reward money for the killers of Cruz has increased to P300,000.00 as two local government officials also offered additional money as reward for those who can help identified the suspects. Roxas City mayor Vicente Bermejo offered P100,000 along with Capiz governor Vic Tanco Sr. It was learned earlier that Capiz congressman Antonio del Rosario offered P100,000.00 as reward for the arrest of the killers of his trusted man.
Prior to this, Del Rosario was cited as the 14th Congress most outstanding neophyte legislator in 1st and 2nd regular session by Public Eye Magazine in Manila. But the said accomplishment was short-lived and replaced by the sudden and unexpected death of his aide, Arthur Cruz.

This incident is not likely the Roxas City I’ve known, when I was growing up. Catholicism was very dominant in this city, where the Angelus was observed, every night. I am extending my heartfelt sympathy to the Cruz family, for their loss. For whatever reason it is, I hope that the citizens begin to forgive each other, and put an end to this violence, that lowers the morale of the community. May the Heavens Bless all the Capizanos.
